18.1 - Taming the Monkey
You’ve heard it said that “my mind ran away with me,” “I got distracted,” “my emotions got the best of me,” etc. Eastern philosophers call these energized, unproductive, focus-lacking and often random states of mental chaos the “monkey in your mind.” Be the zoo keeper. Empty the cage when necessary.
